My PhD & MSc Research

My Ph.D. Research is "Design and Performance Evaluation of Multicast Congestion Control Protocol over the Internet" with the Network Research Group , Informatic Network, School of Computing, University of Leeds. My supervisor is Prof. Roger Boyle and my advisor is Dr. Karim Djemame. The Thai Royal Government is the current sponsor for my Ph.D. and I am now under the support of Thai Student Office in UK Educational Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy. During my Msc. in Distributed Multimedia System, School of Computer Studies, University Leeds, I had done my Msc. Project about TCP over ATM-GFR in 1999. I would like to thank "Unilever Chevening Scholarship and University of Leeds" of funding my MSc.

The Internet Statistic

Lottor provided a good information of NSFNET during 1987-1995. According to [Claffy 1993], the number of end systems on the Internet in 1993 is only 600 nodes. In 1997, the Internet grows to 16 million nodes [Paxson 1997]. The last updated as of Jan 2003, 100-500 million nodes are hooked on the Internet [ISC 2004].
